Sept. 5 Jamerson McCormack Conservation Area (plants of the mixed-grass
prairie)
Sept. 12 Squaw Creek National Wildlife Area (concentrate
on wetland and tallgrass prairie plants)
Sept. 19 - 21 Reis Biological Field Station (plants of the Ozark
forest) - weekend field trip or Little Tarkio Conservation Area (concentrate on tallgrass
prairie plants)
Sept. 26 Pony Express Conservation Area ( concentrate on tallgrass
prairie, old field and wetland plants)
Oct. 3 Private Re-established Tallgrass
Prairie near King City, Mo.
Oct. 10 Plants of the Otoe Creek Nature Area at MWSU (concentrate
on woody plants) and Keying and Sight Identification Quiz on Herbaceous Plants
Oct. 17 No Formal Class (independent work on collections)
Oct. 24 Hyde Park and Parkway (in search of champion trees,
concentrate on woody plants)
Oct. 31 Keying and Sight Identification Quiz of Woody plants
Nov. 7 - Dec. 6 The remaining labs will be spent keying collected
plants, mounting plants and observing and studying representative specimens of
various plant families.
Plant Collections Due December 5th. Collections turned in after Dec. 5th will be penalized 5% per day until the collection is turned in. No exceptions.
