PSY 101

I teach various sections of PSY 101. Here's an example Syllabus for PSY 101.

    1. Most semesters  I teach a general section of PSY 101 (typically a larger class of up to 75 students). About 80% of the class is lecture and discussion,  20% is hands-on activities or demonstrations.

    2. Learning Communities: Most falls I teach a PSY 101 section with a maximum of 25 students, integrating my course with another course, such as COM 104, ENG 104, or COL 101/151. Below is a picture of our 2006 PSY 101 Learning Community getting together for pizza. Click here to see more pictures of our learning community.

    3. Applied Learning: In the fall I teach a PSY 101 section in the Outdoor Semester, a study away experience. Students take courses in Outdoor Recreation, English Literature, as well as PSY 101, and go on two two-week treks in the outdoors: one north to Montana, one south to New Mexico. We apply what you learn in the classes to the treks. Below are some pictures of our trips. To see more pictures of our excursions, click here.
