Biographical Sketch

Dr. Tarun received his Doctoral and Master of Science degrees in Industrial Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). He holds Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya (BVM), Engineering College, Gujarat Technological University, Vallabh Vidyanagar, India. He worked for over 4 years in Thermal Power Project Proposals, Business Development, Construction, Planning, and Management with Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T), India. His teaching interests include quantitative techniques, statistics, operations research (management science), and production & operations management. His research interests include applied operations research, optimization, multicriteria/multiobjective optimization, applied statistics, stochastics, productivity and efficiency measurement, military & naval logistics, supply chain, data mining and design of experiments. He is a member of Alpha Pi Mu, Tau Beta Pi, IIE, and INFORMS.
