MIT Sloan School of Management puts many of their courses on the web via OpenCourseWare. Here are some interesting Information Systems courses: Information Technology I; Information Technology Essentials; and Integrating eSystems & Global Information Systems.
OpenOffice is a reasonable and free alternative to Microsoft's Office, its installation files for Windows XP is on the O drive under mlewis. It may be faster to download from here than via the OpenOffice site.

HOSTS file is found in XP at C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc.
