ECONOMICS VIDEOCASSETTES
I have prepared several videocassettes for this class, and I am in the process of taping more in the near future. These videocassettes cover certain key concepts and topics throughout the course which are considered important to your understanding of economics. The cassettes were made with the student in mind, and therefore, will not only enhance your understanding (and therefore enjoyment) of the material but will quite probably improve your test scores as well. The use of these videocassettes is strictly voluntary.
The videocassettes are housed in the Instructional Media Center, which is located in the basement of the Learning Resources Center. The IMC's hours are 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Friday.
What can the videocassettes do for you? Students who have used the videocassettes in the past say that they:
FINAL COMMENTS:
1. The tapes are on specific topics. They do not cover all the material in the course, nor are they a substitute for sixteen weeks of classroom learning.
2. A survey of the students who did not take advantage of this learning tool consistently revealed two comments. First, they did not "have enough time" between work and other curses to view the videocassettes. Second, almost all of them said that the videocassettes would have helped them understand the material if they had used them.
