News from the Lab
Amanda O’Dell began graduate school at University of Loyola in Chicago in Fall 2007. She worked in Deka’s lab on body image and stereotype threat research. She completed an Honors Independent Research project in Spring 2007.
Rachel Lyday began graduate school at University of Kansas in Fall 2007. She worked in Deka’s lab on research pertaining to gifted students and self-esteem. She completed an Honors Independent Research project in Fall 2006.
I am currently conducting research on:
Body image in college students Data is coded in being analyzed
Self-concept and middle school students Manuscript is being prepared
While I am not taking any students for research credit this semester, there will be opportunities for Spring semester 2008. If you are interested in working in my lab on developmental research, particularly with adolescents and early adults, please contact me by e-mail. In order apply to work in my research lab, you must:
1. Be a student at Missouri Western State University, and
2. Have completed Psychology 101, 200, and 300.
